Our Sustainability goals

At Neela, we are embracing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as our guide to set ambitious goals to create a better future for the people and the planet. We are planning to be listed as United Nations partner by the end of 2021.

Water Recycling

Our Effluent Treatment Plant purifies 100 m3 of denim wastewater per hour. By the end of 2022, we are planning to use 50% of process water recycling by using technology like MBR, Ultra filtration, RO and MEE that ultimately reduce 275,562 m3 of process water.

Energy Saving & CO2 Reduction

We have a goal to reduce electricity consumption up to 2%, which is equivalent to 450,000kWh/year and 249 tCo2/year till 2022 by making system more energy efficient.

Eliminate Harmful Substances

We aim to eliminate harmful chemicals listed under MSRL and RSL, and to only use safe raw chemical materials under GHS standard, ISO 11014, and ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Programme) by 2022.
